A look at the foods bad for kidneys, to prevent kidney disease. The functions of kidneys are to screen ones blood, clearing out the waste materials and extra water from your body.

Within your kidneys will be nephrons, these are places in which a person’s urine is produced to transfer the toxins and wastes outside your body.

Kidney difficulties happen whenever nephrons are assaulted, and your surplus waste materials can’t be passed via your urine.

When this occurs, particular foods which are appropriate for healthful kidneys could become trouble, triggering a surplus accumulation of waste matter within the body. This Youtube video shows some of the foods to avoid.

Foods Bad For Kidneys – Preventing Kidney Disease

Whenever kidneys aren’t working correctly, surplus calcium that is  inside the blood most likely will not be eliminated, and kidney stones could form. Kidney stones can be extremely agonizing and in most cases will leave out of your body by way of the urinary system.

Consuming 2 or more soda pops every day raises ones likelihood of chronic kidney disease, based on a commentary printed inside Mayo Clinic Women’s HealthSource in the year 2010.

Linda asks…

Foods that will promote kidney health..?

What are some foods that promote kidney health? Some that reverse the possibility of kidney failure?

Best answer will be given.

admin answers:

Common sense should tell you to avoid processed foods, high saturated fats and to cut back on high-protein foods – our gut evolved to process seeds and berries. Our kidneys essentially filter out the toxins from the body, so simply try not to put too many into it in the first place.

One thing that we do know – drink plenty of liquid – preferably natural water (no additives!) to clear the kidneys out and let it do it’s job.

Steven asks…

What foods or natural remedies would anyone recommend for good kidney health?

admin answers:

You will find great help at this comprehensive program I did here

http://www.curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1224263#i

I would recommend Dr Schulze’s 5 day kidney cleanse (his herbs are at herbdoc.com)

http://www.curezone.com/schulze/herbal_5day_kidney_cleanse.asp

there are many foods, juices and herbs and other things listed in there

Off the top of my head add the mushrooms Agaricus bisporas extract and Cordyceps Mushroom – Premier Kidney and Lung Tonic mentioned in steps 3 and 4 (see that for why they are so good) , the coq10 (step 2) , the organic burdock root tincture, the organic parsley root tincture (steps 4 and 5) , the dandelion juice (step 10). Juices (step 11) , diaphoretic teas (step 15) the hot saunas and the “works like a modern day kidney dialysis machine” suggestion (step 19 and 20) and those important kidney foods (step 16) etc

Also email me and I can send you the link to his incurables manual and video where he discusses his cleanse and there are also two free online books on it there by master healer of the incurables Dr Richard Schulze –25 ways to the cleanest kidneys and another one he did (name escapes me just now)..these are free for the reading just email me and ask for the links to his incurables and his two kidney books but definitely look over that links I gave. It took me months to compile and write all that.

Also alternative herbs help the kidneys by cleaning the blood although some work better for different organs. See Dr Christopher’s book the school of natural healing for more info on various alternative herbs. I did go through this for my mom with kidney disease and felt the best was burdock root. This and parsley root helped her even when she had zero functioning in both kidneys (so much so that after 10 years of unsuccessfully trying, she finally decided to try what I know but unfortunately was killed by hospital while we were ordering the herbs.

Be sure your herbs or organic or wildcrafted (burdock is so plentiful you can harvest the root yourself and parsley root is sometimes sold at stores like meijer’s in the produce dept (but not organic)

and also in the form of tinctures. The average dose for tinctures is 60 drops (2 dropperfuils) 3=5 times a day. If much above or below 150 email me for the rule for dosing (called Clark’s rule also this is on curezone in Dr Schulze patient handbook in the table of contents under doing for children and animals)

Here is info I have been compiling yesterday on various types of herbs from gaines site etc

Alternative
Herbs which purify the blood. They are also called blood sweeteners. Most alteratives promote the cleaning action of the spleen, liver, kidneys, and bowels. Alterative herbs are generally used over a long period of time, to allow for gradual detoxification of the entire bloodstream which will, in turn, improve digestion, assimilation, and glandular secretions.

Apparently, some alterative herbs contain hormones or hormone-like substances that act like endocrine secretions. Others seem to improve the function of the endocrine glands, so that they better produce their own secretions. A list of Alterative herbs is available.

Alternative herbs

The following herbs have alternative properties.

Alfalfa
Barberry
Bayberry
Black Cohosh
Blessed Thistle
Burdock Root
Cayenne
Chaparral
Chickweed
Cleaver
Comfrey
Dandelion
Devil’s Claw
Echinacea
Elderberry
Elder Flower
Eyebright
Garlic
Ginseng
Goldenseal
Gotu Kola
Kelp
Licorice Root
Mandrake
Marshmallow
Nettles
Oregon Grape Root
Pipsissewa
Plantain
Poke Root
PricklyAsh
Raspberry
Red Clover
Rhubarb
Sarsaparilla
Sassafras
St. John’s Wort
Turkey Rhubarb
Uva Ursi
Wood Betony
Yellow Dock

Never take hard capsules as they are rarely absorbed also organic or wildcrafted herbs can be 7-10 times higher in the phytochemcials that cure and prevent disease.

But for the most help go to that link..it has tons of foods etc that help the kidneys and though it is a lot of info to wade through it i most complete and helpful and recommended as valuable by the site.

Again go here

http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1224263#i (info all the way to #36)==very long thread with a tons of info there is a section on there with foods for the kidneys also.

Richard asks…

What’s a good kidney formula (kidney health) cat food?

My cat’s amylase levels were high in a blood test where everything else checks out all right. He’s about 13 or 14 (he was adopted almost 7 years ago) and the vet gave him some Purina NF cat food to try. It’s supposed to be for promoting kidney health, but the ingredients make me wonder. Is there something better? More natural? Less questionable?
High amylase levels may be an indication that kitty is showing early signs of CRF.

From this site and according to my vet: Some vets feel that slightly elevated Amylase levels can sometimes be a pre-cursor to CRF before other symptoms occur.

Another site for those who are confused by my question.

admin answers:

Here is a link that you can use to find foods for you cat. I would look second at the ingredients too, but since CRF cats need lower protein diets, you’re going to be looking at a food with a lot of fillers :(

I hope it helps you, and I hope your kitty feels better.

Helen asks…

What causes recurring kidney infections?

I never got kidney infections when I was younger but now in my late forties, I get them once or twice a year. I drink a lot of water and virtually no carbonated drinks. They are very painful and I’m wondering what I could do to prevent them. I hate cranberry juice so I need to buy some in pill form at the health food store. Wondered what other suggestions people had :-)
BTW, I’ve seen my doctor and gotten meds. Just wondering how to prevent them in the future.

admin answers:

Usually recurring kidney infections are caused by UTI’s, urinary tract infections. Go see a dr about it

Lisa asks…

Does anyone know a home remedy to dissolve kidney stones?

I am looking for a home remedy that will dissolve kidney stones safely. The ingredients should be inexpensive and easy to find at a local market or health food store. Please send any instructions as to how to prepare the remedy as well. Thank you in advance.
Thank you everyone for your answers, plus thank you Mikki for the web address. I found a lot of good info.

Susan asks…

What are the best foods and herbs for helping dissolve and pass kidney stones, pain in kidneys?

admin answers:

A: Before you can do anything, you need a lab test to determine what the kidney stone is. If it’s uric acid, you must alkalinize your urine and lower the uric acid in your body. A Living Foods Diet will go a long way on that one.

If it’s a calcium stone, acidifying your urine can help. Vitamin C, as ascorbic acid, is a great start. Your kidneys will eliminate the excess ascorbic acid you take in, and it has the ability to pick up a calcium ion on its way through.

You also need to increase your magnesium intake. Take at least 500 mg daily — or up to bowel tolerance. Magnesium is calcium’s natural antagonist. Citrate, like vitamin C, is a great chelator of calcium, with or without magnesium.

There are proprietary herb formulas that may help dissolve your stones. One product is called KST from Kroeger Herbs. There are many other herbal formulas available. Many work and they are certainly worth trying.

David asks…

How can i export food supplements to Qatar? to be exact a number of herbs used for the kidney stones?

i own a medical and pharmaceutical company in mexico and i would like to export and expand my market to the gulf and the middle east therefore if anyone knows what do i need to start exporting my products to Qatar or if anyone is interested in importing some of the products please let me know.

thank you for your time
Jesse

admin answers:

Your best bet would be to find a company that will transport your products to Qatar (or if your distributors can send them directly there). You’ll also want to check into the local laws there to see what can/can’t be sold and what can/can’t be imported of your products.

Most importantly, you’ll need to find someone that you trust with your business that is willing to move to Qatar. If you hire someone in Qatar without meeting them or working with them, you’re asking for trouble as you don’t know if they will represent your business well or if they will take all your money/products and run.

Y!A is probably the worst place to look for a business partner like that (not to mention it’s against the rules to solicit like that).  You should also be aware that there are health food companies that sell foods and supplements in Qatar as well so you will have competition. Good luck and I hope I helped!

Lizzie asks…

What foods, beverages, medicines & herb supplements should be avoided if you have one kidney?

admin answers:

A person with one kidney should have been advised by their doctor as to dietary guidelines. All I can say, is avoid an over-abundance of salt and protein – but please have a doctor or registered nutritionist advise.

Helen asks…

what are some natural foods for keeping blood urea in check.. herbs plants?

my Dad is diabetic and goes for kidney dialysis twice a week, for the past two years. Its reached a point where his skin is full of blisters and itching. he keeps vomiting too, can’t eat well.

I’ll appreciate ur advise. Thanks. God bless

admin answers:

Just because something is herbal or natural doesn’t mean that it’s completely safe. Some “all natural herbs” can be lethal. Your dad should not be taking ANYTHING that his doctor doesn’t know about and approve of, and this includes any natural herb or plant that has medicinal qualities, especially if he is getting dialysis on a regular basis.

I’ve asked my doctor about various supplements from time to time, and on a few occasions, I’ve been told that an herb will give me some serious side effect that I just do not want.

His doctor will be (or at least, should be) interested in these problems. Proper nutrition is the first step to better health. Please get your dad to discuss these issues with his doctor.

Mandy asks…

What to do for an old dog with Kidney or bladder problems?

Hi, We have a 14 year old papillon. She has recently had troubles ‘holding it in’ and it dosent seem to be getting any better. The vet told us this would happen as she got older, and that her kidneys may start to go. We were wondering if anybody knew of any little things we could do at home that may help? Such as foods, a medication, herb or just something SAFE and non toxic that helps.

admin answers:

The vet can prescribe Proin for the dog, it may take some adjusting of dosage until it works properly (increasing until it stops or the dog maxes out on dosage). I had an old male dog who couldn’t hold it in his sleep anymore-he had to have triple the “recommended” dose before it worked-but it worked remarkably well.

Kidney Cleanse

Kidney Cleansing For Health

One of the most common medical problems today is kidney malfunctions or kidney stones. Common symptoms of kidney malfunction include painful or frequent urination, chronic lower back pain and fatigue, chills and fever as with a cold or flu, and general accumulation of excess fluid.

Common symptoms of kidney stones are a dull pain in the lower back and groin, increasing to a sharp severe pain as the stone(s) enter the urethra canal. Nausea and vomiting may accompany pain.

Common causes of kidney problems are excess uric and oxalic acids in the elimination system from foods such as red meat, carbonated drinks, sugar, caffeine, aspirin, salt, and chemical diuretics. Minerals in the drinking water that the body cannot assimilate can also contribute to kidney problems.

When a conventional doctor finds out someone has kidney problems, he may want to do surgery to eliminate kidney stones. In severe cases he may want to remove a kidney. “Don’t worry,” he tells the patient, “if we remove one kidney, you still have another kidney and it is functioning normally.” Our concern is what happens if the one remaining kidney malfunctions?

Purpose of Kidneys:

The kidneys are a pair of organs located in the upper abdominal cavity, their purpose is to separate water and waste products from the blood and excrete them as urine through the bladder. The kidneys act as a filter for toxins.

When the bladder contains more than 1/2 pint of urine, it signals us to urinate. If we are busy and don’t have time to urinate the bladder can be stretched to hold 2 or 3 quarts of urine. This is stressful for both the bladder and kidneys. Toxins continually held too long can back up into the kidneys and cause stones and other kidney problems.

Dialysis Machine:

We knew of a man that regularly drank cappuccino and ate fatty meats and rich chocolate desserts. His kidneys malfunctioned while he was in his thirties. He spent many hours each week on a dialysis machine, which did the work of his kidneys for him.

After a couple of years, even the dialysis machine could not save him. His kidneys failed before he ever reached 40 years old. Doing this simple cleanse and a change in diet might have prolonged his life.

Doing The Kidney Cleanse:

The kidney cleanse is an easy , inexpensive and painless alternative to surgery. It can be used as preventative maintenance to give the kidneys an opportunity to flush out before problems occur. The kidney cleanse can also be done once kidney stones are discovered, though you may have further complications from a fever or infection.

Each day for 3 days, drink unsweetened apple juice and distilled water. you may have all you want, up to a gallon of each per day. You may mix the apple juice with the water or drink them separately.

You won’t starve to death. The apple juice will give you energy and keep you from being hungry. The best time to do this cleanse is when your at home relaxing.

What To Expect:
After your first drink of apple juice, you may start straining your urine to check for kidney stones. An ordinary mesh tea strainer works fine. The kidney stones may be tiny, so look carefully.
This cleanse allows you to to pass kidney stones as large as the end of your thumb. The apple juice softens them and takes the sharpness out. They conform to the body as they are passed, just like a cotton ball.

Not every one who does the kidney cleanse will pass kidney stones. But even if you don’t pass any stones, you will be giving your kidneys a cleansing bath which will help prevent future problems.

Shopping List For Kidney Cleanse-Per Individual:

3 gallons of apple juice
3 gallons of distilled water
mesh strainer

Why Kidney Cleansing? Kidneys are the human body’s filtering method, responsible for cleaning the bad toxins out from the blood and being eliminated out in pee . Furthermore they make it possible to control the production of red blood cells and in addition control the level of acidity in your system.

Kidney Cleansing For Your Total Health

Our own kidneys will most certainly be in the lower back locale, on either side from the spine. They’re very important to the all-around health, and in case they aren’t in decent working order then after some time some serious health conditions can certainly ensue.

Keeping our own kidneys in tip-top functioning order with a kidney cleansing, should be an important part of any preventative health program.

No Early Notice

Kidney malfunction does not have any noticeable early warning signs and symptoms . The small but vital components within kidneys are known as nephrons can easily be destroyed, ultimately resulting in kidney problems .

Two major possibilities for kidney failure are:

*
high blood pressure
*
diabetes

Kidney Cleansing May Help Avoid Disease

Those individuals diagnosed with these types of problems needs to be extra aware of looking after their kidneys . It usually is years before the damaging outcomes of kidney disease are noticed, but by then the situation could be too advanced to treat, therefore it pays to be a little more kidney-conscious.

Nephrotoxicity
Problems:

When ever drugs or toxins damage the kidneys so they can no longer perform effectively . Earliest evidence of nephrotoxicity are usually rises in blood electrolytes most notably magnesium together with potassium. Swelling of ankles, face, along with hands may appear, there will also be soreness when passing urine.

Top Five Kidney-Saving Tips and Hints:

1. Drink an Abundance of h2o

Liquid, notably 100 % pure water, keeps the detrimental body toxins within our bodies moving to avoid any build up . Bodily fluids flush throughout the human body and the kidneys filter out and remove undesirable substances to maintain a healthy body.

2. Lessen the level of Caffeine Intake

Coffee in addition to caffeine-high sports refreshments and soda pops can position the kidneys under increased demands. Caffeine intake works as a diuretic, causing the body system to become dehydrated that means the kidneys must work hard to take out toxic substances.

3. Safeguard Kidneys From Bruising:

Driving a motor vehicle frequently over difficult terrain leads to kidney bruising and harm . This is a unique hazard for cab drivers, 4WD riders, pickup truck motorists, and those working mechanical equipment . A very good quality seat cushion will prove to add comfort minimizing damaging vibrations .

4. Be Active:

Sedentary work and driving for hours is bad for your blood flow in lots of ways . Additionally it is unhealthy for the kidneys which need great blood flow to perform. Get regular breaks to stand, stretch out and stroll towards the water fountain and then back, you will be killing 2 birds with just one stone!

5. Obey Nature’s Urges!

Any time you experience a preliminary need to go to the restrooms, you shouldn’t put it off . Delaying peeing means one’s body sets out to reabsorb the the waste and toxins that your kidneys have already already filtered out.

Become Kidney Wise With Kidney Cleansing

With all this in mind, take proper care of your kidneys with a kidney cleansing, and they’ll better be able to take care of
you.

Woman On A Kidney Cleanse

The reason that kidney cleansing is so important is that every single day, kidneys process blood, and strains the waste materials including copper, mercury, arsenic bound chemicals and many other toxins, plus any excess water.
