A look at the foods bad for kidneys, to prevent kidney disease. The functions of kidneys are to screen ones blood, clearing out the waste materials and extra water from your body.

Within your kidneys will be nephrons, these are places in which a person’s urine is produced to transfer the toxins and wastes outside your body.

Kidney difficulties happen whenever nephrons are assaulted, and your surplus waste materials can’t be passed via your urine.

When this occurs, particular foods which are appropriate for healthful kidneys could become trouble, triggering a surplus accumulation of waste matter within the body. This Youtube video shows some of the foods to avoid.

Foods Bad For Kidneys – Preventing Kidney Disease

Whenever kidneys aren’t working correctly, surplus calcium that is  inside the blood most likely will not be eliminated, and kidney stones could form. Kidney stones can be extremely agonizing and in most cases will leave out of your body by way of the urinary system.

Consuming 2 or more soda pops every day raises ones likelihood of chronic kidney disease, based on a commentary printed inside Mayo Clinic Women’s HealthSource in the year 2010.

Cleansing or detoxification are the elimination of environment and dietary harmful toxins from your body. Eating habits can vary greatly from rigid avoidance of pretty much all solid foods by drinking fluids.

For example, drinking veggie juice, fruit juice and water diets to solid food diets that concentrate on fresh, uncooked vegetables and fruits. Diet plans will last from 1 day to 3 months.

Many People that are tired all the time and also have low blood pressure could have a syndrome that is not recognized by most of the traditional medical doctors, but it is identified and also treated by holistic doctors, and is called adrenal weakness and/or fatigue.

It is often caused by prolonged stress. The detox diet is usually done after the adrenal glands have been replenished holistically through diet, herbs, and other adrenal remedies.

A sign that there is much congestion in the head area and that drainage is taking place.

Detox Emotional Troubleshooter

Cleansing on a deep cellular and tissue level can release stored emotion (usually negative emotion) in the body. Emotions are stored in certain organs of the body due to an affinity to the organ. They also store in other parts of the body as well, i.e. back, buttocks, neck, etc. as any good massage therapist will tell you. Feeling a certain way while detoxing (with any Dherbs.Com kit and regimen) simply denotes that the specific corresponding organ is being addressed (worked on for your healing benefit).

Cleansing (detoxifying) is not just physical, but mental, spiritual, emotional, and ethereal. Using the Dherbs.Com ‘Chakra Elixirs’ can greatly help to cleanse on the auric or subtle body level as all disease first appears on the energy level and appears in the human aura which aura photography can show and prove to you. For this reason, Dherbs.Com highly recommend that you have your aura photographed once a year minimal, and four times a year (every seasonal change) maximum.

You can get your aura photographed while at health exhibitions such as the Mind-Body-Spirit expos that are national and some New Age shops and bookstores. In the Southern California area, you can contact Tracy Southern @ tlsouthern@verizon.net or (909) 3154 or (310) 540-8071.

Dherbs.Com will offer Aura Photography beginning January 2009.

Positive

NOTE: The following are generally experienced by those individuals who are spiritually-inclined and/or very aware (conscious) in life.

Calm

The cleansing is greatly working on your subtle body. Most of your stress was due to toxicity in your body and now that the toxins are being thrown off, the stress no longer has an anchor in your body.

Clear-Headed (Clarity)

The cleansing has profoundly affected your head, especially your brain and thus your two highest chakras (6th or Ajna chakra and 7th or Sahasrara/Crown chakra) due to affecting your pineal gland.

Elation

The removed toxicity and acidic state has caused elation which means your head (brain) has been affected by the cleansing and thus your two highest chakras (see above).

Grounded

The cleansing has greatly affected your genital region and its effect has overlapped on the etheric level of your subtle body and has opened your Root or base chakra (1st chakra).

Happiness

See Elation above!

Intuitive

The cleansing has impacted your brain and thus removed calcification from your pineal gland (spiritual center) positively affecting your Ajna or 3rd Eye chakra.

Joyful

Your cleansed body and heightened pH balance has released your natural state of being.

Peaceful

The toxins (which served as an anchor for negativity) have been expelled (or are being expelled), and your heightened pH level makes you feel peaceful. The cleasning has greatly impacted your subtle body. Stored worry, stress, and negative emotion have been released from your body.

Spiritual High

The cleansing has impacted your brain and thus your pineal gland (spiritual center) and opened your 7th or Crown chakra. Per chance, the cleanse (and other things you may be doing) helped to open up all your chakras or removed blocks from them. Original story here.

After the detoxing, or cleansing supporters frequently record having much more energy, better looking skin, normal bowel movements, better digestion and even elevated concentration.

Confer with your medical doctor before you start any detoxing, cleansing or going on a fast program. Understand that a lot of detoxification diet programs happen to be considered to be fads or alternative therapies.

Did you know there is a big difference between natural products, with the conventional ingredients, and the certified organic ones. Here is some information that I am sure you will find interesting.

Story at-a-glance

  • The Cornucopia Institute is an organic industry watchdog whose core constituencies are family farmers across the U.S. and consumers concerned about the availability and quality of organic foods. Their goal is to empower you to make informed purchasing decisions
  • Large conventional food manufacturers have quietly purchased a large number of small organic brands, raising questions about whether or not these brands still adhere to organic standards and sustainable agriculture practices
  • By issuing a variety of special reports, and rating all organic brands. The Cornucopia Institute promotes the true heroes of the organic industry, and send a strong message to companies engaging in “greenwashing” practices

By Dr. Mercola

Mark Kastel, co-founder of the Cornucopia Institute, has a long history as a marketing- and political consultant, and as a lobbyist (working for family farmers).

While he didn’t grow up on a farm, he ended up taking a summer job during his youth with the International Harvester Company.

That was his first farm experience.

Later, he was recruited by JI Case, another large agricultural equipment manufacturer.

“I worked in corporate agribusiness,” he explains.

“Then I had a health crisis in the late 70s; I was acutely exposed to pesticides and it injured my immune system…

I was lucky enough to see the preeminent environmental allergist… Theron Randolph… who recommended that, among other things, I go on an all organic diet; that there weren’t many things we could do to relieve the strain on my immune system while I was healing, but controlling your food and your water intake is something you can take control of.”

The rest, as they say, is history.

At the time, he was operating his own farm implement business, which was in a region dominated by the industrial, chemically-intensive farming model. He switched gears and began gardening and farming organically.

“It caused a major professional shift in my life. I ended up doing consulting work for years, for what are now some of the leading organic companies,” he says.

“[T]here wasn’t really a readily available source for organic food until the early to mid-1980s when it started. It kicked into high gear in the 1990s when genetic engineering became an issue; when people became more synthesized to chemicals in their food.

… I helped launch the Organic Valley brand when they began in the late 80s or early 90s… Then I helped found the Cornucopia Institute eight years ago, when it looked like the wheels would fall off of this movement; when the giant corporate agri-businesses that has squeezed family farmers out of conventional farming, and that were responsible for the deterioration in the nutrient level and the safety of our food, were buying out, on a wholesale basis, all the brands that had launched the organic commercial movement.”

The Cornucopia Institute

The Cornucopia Institute is an organic industry watch dog. Their core constituencies are the family farmers across the U.S. Currently, Cornucopia has more organic farmers as members than any other group in the country, and what they lack in financial resources and political influence, they make up for with a coalition of dedicated farmers and passionate consumers and providers of organic foods.

“The secret weapon we have is building bridges between the organic farming community and the consumers… millions of people who passionately give a damn; who really care about the authenticity of the food and respect the people who are doing it,” Kastel says.

“Our goal is to—from a research and educational perspective—empower consumers and wholesale buyers so that they can make good and discerning choices in the market place.”

Organics have Never Been Under Such Dire Threats!

As you will soon learn, organics are now being profoundly threatened by a number of potentially devastating votes that will take place by the USDA’s National Organic Standards Board (NOSB), which I will summarize at the end of this article.

We’re in dire need of your involvement, so I urge you to please print out the hyperlinked proxy letter and mail it to Cornucopia for hand delivery at the rapidly approaching NOSB meeting. Corporate lobbyists will be present, and so will the Cornucopia Institute, to counter their obnoxious claims and make sure your voice, in support of organic integrity, is heard. For more details on this meeting, please continue to the end. You’ll no doubt be shocked, and hopefully resolved to help stop this impending madness.

Signed proxy letters should be mailed to:

Can You Really Afford NOT to Eat Organic?

As Kastel says, we’re now at the point where we really cannot afford NOT to buy organic food, even if it is more expensive. The U.S. is forecasted to soon be spending close to 20 percent of our gross national product on healthcare, and the failing health of the American people is a direct result of poor nutrition and toxic foods. Healthcare costs are also the number one cause of individual bankruptcy.

We simply MUST take organic agriculture seriously if we want good health.

“[I]t’s a matter of prioritizing where we put our money. You know that classic adage, “Pay now or pay later,” Kastel says. ” I’d rather pay now and have a better quality of life, especially when it comes to the developing fetuses, lactating mothers, young developing children. Not only are we exposing them to the soup of neurotoxic chemicals during development, but, we’re depriving them of a lot of essential nutrition.

The USDA did a study in 1999 comparing essential nutrient content in our food… They found that about half of the essential nutrients on our food had been reduced by as much as 38 percent [compared to the 1950's].

If [nutrients are] not in the soil; if we’re depleting the soil through industrial processes, and it’s not in the plants, it’s not in our milk, in our meat, it’s not in us. Many of the immune enhancing compounds that make life wonderful, make our food taste wonderful, and also protect us from cancers and a lot of chronic disease. The attributes to organic food are not just the avoidance of toxins. It’s also about what it does have in there, and that’s the superior nutrients.”

I couldn’t agree more. Reprioritizing your budget to spend more where it really counts is imperative if you want to optimize your health. This may mean cutting something else out of your budget, but surely in the long run it will be worth it.

“If families reprioritize, they can have the most wonderful food, and the gift of health, which is… priceless.”

Weeding Out the “Greenwashers”

The Cornucopia Institute has been on the forefront of the movement to keep the organic movement truly organic. As many of you are now aware, there’s plenty of “greenwashing” going on as large corporations try to get a piece of the organic market share.

The very first campaign the Cornucopia Institute launched was on factory dairy farming posing as all organic. Dean Foods, the largest, milk bottler in the U.S. (a $ 12 billion company; the size of Monsanto) had just bought Horizon, which was (and still is) the number one organic dairy brand.

“When we started… they were buying from a 10,000-cow farm in California with no pasture. We don’t think that size is the determinant. It’s not about corporate scale. It’s about corporate ethics. There are some corporations that have invested in organics and have done it right—but not Dean Foods.”

The Cornucopia Institute filed a number of legal complaints, which eventually, after much delay, resulted in sanctions against a select number of dairies that failed to conform to organic practices. The Institute has also helped push through stricter organic standards and regulations. The problem now is that despite the fact that the laws exist, large factory farms are not being re-inspected to ensure that they’re conforming to the new, stricter organic standards. All is not lost however…

“We say that there is a higher authority in the United States than the USDA at organics, and that is the organic consumers,” Kastel says. “So we published our first in-depth research study on this issue, organic dairy, and a score card that lists every organic dairy brand in the country: butter, milk, cheese, ice cream—both the name brands and the private label store brands.

The good news is that 90 percent of all organic dairy brands are done with high integrity. They’re really conforming to the expectation of the consumers. They’re grazing their cattle, which increases the nutritional value of the milk or Omega-3s, antioxidants, and CLA. These are really beneficial compounds for human health, but, they are also beneficial to the cow. They live long, healthy, happy lives, as opposed to the animals that are confined in industrial environments.

So consumers get to vote.

Now the gold standard for organic retailing is the 300 or so consumer-owned cooperatives around the country—the natural food cooperative groceries. Almost all of them dropped the Horizon label.”

They’ve replicated that process for organic soy foods and organic eggs, and they’re currently lobbying the USDA to tighten the organic egg standards and enforcement. In this interview, Kastel also discusses The Authentic Almond Project; an effort to overturn the USDA’s new regulation calling for all raw almonds to be pasteurized for safety—a ruling that has devastated the businesses of raw almond growers in California. For more information, please listen to the interview in its entirety, or read through the transcript.

Many “Natural” Breakfast Cereals and Snack Bars Contain GMO’s

Another report recently published by the Cornucopia Institute investigated “all natural” and organic cereal brands. Shockingly, their independent third-party testing revealed that many trusted natural brands contain genetically modified (GM) corn and soybeans—including brands enrolled in the Non-GMO Project.

This is information you simply cannot get anywhere else, and reason alone to support the Institute’s efforts. Natural products that contained, unimaginably, as high as 100 percent genetically modified grains included:

Kashi® Mother’s® Nutritious Living® General Mills Kix®
GoLean® Bumpers® Hi-Lo®

Two breakfast cereal products that are currently enrolled in the Non-GMO Project, Barbara’s Bakery’s Puffins and Whole Foods’ 365® Corn Flakes, contained more than 50 percent GM corn Meanwhile, the research control Cornucopia used, Nature’s Path® USDA certified organic corn flakes, contained only trace amounts of GM contamination (less than 0.5 percent).

Cornucopia writes:

“These test results underscore the importance of the organic label, which ensures consumers that the manufacturer uses only non-genetically engineered ingredients. More extensive testing is necessary to draw conclusions regarding the truthfulness of “non-GMO” claims, but these preliminary results point to several problems. First, manufacturers can claim that they avoid purchasing genetically engineered ingredients, but these claims may be meaningless unless they are verified by a third party, such as an organic certifying agent.

In addition, many of the most reputable organic companies have developed their own testing protocols to ensure the purity of their products. Furthermore, the Non-GMO Project, which “enrolls” products before it verifies them as being non-GMO, may give consumers a false sense of security. Our test results reveal that several “enrolled” products were in fact made with GE ingredients.”

The “All Natural” Label is Frequently Misused on Conventional Products

The report also reveals that “natural” products—using conventional ingredients—are frequently priced higher than equivalent organic products, suggesting that some companies are taking advantage of consumer confusion and trust in the “all natural” label… According to the Cornucopia report:

“Since breakfast cereals are popular with children, it is especially important for parents to be aware of the differences between “natural” products, with conventional ingredients, and certified organic ones. Children are especially vulnerable to the harmful effects of synthetic pesticides and other inputs that are commonly used in “natural” products but prohibited in organics.”

In the featured interview, Kastel further expounds on this issue, and why it’s so important to expose these practices and demand honest labeling:

“Kashi, which is a big name in natural cereals, has a big market share. Not only can you find them in natural food stores, you can find them in Walmart. Kashi is owned by Kellogg’s and highly contaminated with GMOs. It’s very expensive; it’s more expensive than the organic brand. Somebody’s making some money here at the expense of consumers, at the expense of organic farmers who are truly stewarding the land.

Our job is to educate consumers so they can make those marketplace decisions,” Kastel says.

The Cornucopia report clearly shows that the terms “natural” and “organic” are not interchangeable, and as a concerned shopper, you need to beware of the differences between the two, or risk paying more for what amounts to little more than a conventional product. According to the report:

“On August 31, 2011, a class action lawsuit was filed against Kellogg/Kashi® for allegedly misleading consumers with its “natural” claims. One Kashi® product in particular, GoLean® Shakes, is composed almost entirely of synthetic and unnaturally processed ingredients, according to the plaintiff.”

The Power of Marketplace Activism

The goal of the Cornucopia Institute is to “shift the market share to the true heroes of this industry, the farmers and their marketing partners, and send a really strong message to the “bad actors,” Kastel explains.

“In this whole world, there are only two kinds of power; money and people. We have the people… The most powerful thing is the marketplace activism, I think, because these corporations listen to money. We have been able to change some of their practices, because [once] they are losing their business, they need to respond…That’s the first leg of the three–legged stool for Cornucopia.

The second would be regulatory, and we are working really hard now… to rein in abuses at the USDA. The Congress has set up the National Organics Standard Board to advise the USDA, and every material used in organics has to be screened by them. Unfortunately, during the Bush administration, they stacked it with corporate players, so we have people like General Mills making the decision for the organic industry…or Dean Foods [Kastel says that despite the fact that the Obama administration is doing better, there's still a way to go in terms of transparency and respecting the will of Congress and the organic community in terms of appointments].

… The third tactical approach here is the courts, and that’s always our last approach because it’s expensive and it takes a lot of time. So, we try to win the easier fights.”

There’s no doubt that the Cornucopia Institute has rich and powerful adversaries. Some of these may appear to be from within the organic movement itself, but don’t be fooled! Giant conventional food manufacturers have quietly purchased a large number of small organic brands. One example he gives is that of Cascadian Farms, a large producer of organic foods that began as a small farm in the Pacific Northwest, in the shadow of the Cascade Mountains. Today, the brand belongs to General Mills, but you won’t find any indication of this ownership on their packaging!

Ditto for Horizon organic milk or Silk soymilk. Nowhere on those cartons will you find any indication that Dean Foods owns these brands.

“When they bought Silk, it was an all organic company,” Kastel says. “Now, it’s almost all conventional. In that case, you’ll see on the Horizon and Silk cartons: “White Wave.” That was one of the original tofu companies. They create this façade.”

If you go to the Cornucopia website, there is a chart titled, “Who Owns Organics?” where you can find out who really owns your favorite organic brand. The primary question is, if it’s owned by a large conglomerate, are they acting ethically and truly conforming to organic standards, which includes sustainable farming methods?

How You Can Support the Movement for Authentic Organics

In terms of funding, the Cornucopia Institute gets its money from:

  • Individual members, most of which are organic farmers
  • “Urban allies”—concerned consumers who want to support the organic movement
  • Foundations that want to support human health and ecological farming
  • Organic industry (organic food co-ops making up the greatest number of cornucopia’s commercial members)

I would urge anyone concerned about the state of our food supply to support the work of The Cornucopia Institute by making a tax-deductible donation.

You can also sign up for their newsletter, which will empower you with the knowledge of which brands are authentically organic and respect organic values, and which are not. The Cornucopia Institute will also alert you to important legislation, and how you can make a difference.

So please, do consider making a donation to The Cornucopia Institute.

URGENT Action Items!

The Cornucopia Institute is now in URGENT need of your help, and joining the Institute and/or signing up for their newsletter will assure you get timely updates on these important issues.

At the end of November, the USDA’s National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) will vote on a number of important issues with regards to organics, including:

  1. The approval of an organic egg regulation that would require organic chicken farmers to provide a mere two square feet per bird of outdoor space. This is a huge favor to industrial producers allowing their factory farmed eggs to fall under the designation of “organic.” Meanwhile, it will handicap family farms that are truly letting their birds out to pasture.
  2. A vote will take place to decide whether to allow a food additive produced by Martek Biosciences in organic foods. The product is an omega 3/omega-6 oil synthesized from fermented algae and soil fungus. The oil is extracted from this biomass using hexane, a neurotoxic byproduct of gasoline refinement that is specifically banned in organics.Cornucopia investigated Martek’s patent and safety filings at the FDA, and discovered that the product also contains synthetic chemicals, stabilizers, carriers, and some of the ingredients are also genetically modified. (As it turns out, some of their products were developed by Monsanto before Martek bought the technical rights.)They’ve already added this to almost all infant formula in the United States,” Kastel warns. “Algae and fungus have never been a part of the human diet, let alone children’s. And now we see it in organic infant formula, and companies like Dean Foods are adding it to organic milk… it’s in every single formula available on the market… except for one organic brand [Babies Only brand, which contains DHA from eggs. All other organic brands appear to contain Martek’s omega oil].
  3. The NOSB is also considering approving the addition of sulfites (artificial preservatives) to organic wine. This would be the first time artificial preservatives are allowed in organics

Organics has never been under such dire threats, so I urge you to please take a moment right now to print out, sign, and mail the proxy letter provided by Cornucopia back to them ASAP for hand delivery at the rapidly approaching NOSB meeting.

Corporate lobbyists will be present, and so will the Cornucopia Institute, to counter their claims and make sure your voice, in support of organic integrity, is heard.

So, please, print out this proxy letter right now. Sign it, and mail it, as soon as possible, to:

The Cornucopia Institute
PO Box 126
Cornucopia, Wisconsin 54827

Also consider including a donation check with your letter, to support the invaluable work the Cornucopia Institute performs to protect your and your family’s right to clean, wholesome, truly organic food.

As of right now, there does not appear to be any additional benefit to contacting your congressman, but if the need arises, Cornucopia will notify all their members and subscribers with the information.

I can’t encourage you enough to participate in this process. It’s important to recognize that you CAN make a difference! Always remember that collectively, we have the most effective power in the marketplace that can exceed the power of these multi-billion dollar, multinational corporations. We can vote with our pocket books. But we also need to make our voices heard; we have to let these agencies know that we are watching, we’re paying attention, and we’re not going to allow this immoral, if not downright illegal, industrial favoritism to continue.

When Organic Is Not Organic

Well it looks like once again the public is being scammed.

Detox diet through the holiday season can be rough but our eating excesses can leave us with much more than a just few extra pounds. They will give us an accumulation of bad toxins. Toxins are unwanted holiday gifts that will keep on giving, gifting a lot of us with being bloated, lethargic, in a cranky state and unnecessary aging our cells.

Eating Healthy On The Holidays

Here are some detox dieting tips by Roni DeLuz, RN, ND, PhD

Holiday Dinning and how not to over do it!

The Holiday usually evokes memories of sweet potato pie and ice cream at the family dinning table with cocktails. However, although these things can be enjoyed in moderation, if you want to keep your detox going through the holidays or stay on a healthy maintenance plan you need to think on a healthier level. Here are some tips to help you out:

Use Holiday Vegetables Pumpkin is a great holiday vegetable. Great holiday spices are cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract and cloves. Here are two great holiday detox soups. Pumpkin Soup- 6 cups veggie stock, 5 cups of pumpkin, peeled and cubed (can used canned if organic and no added sugar or fats), 2 sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed, 2 carrots largely sliced, 2 garlic cloves; minced, 2 tiny scoops of Stevia, a ½ cup parsley, finely chopped Pumpkin Pie spice, 2 tbs. vanilla extract. Pour stock into large pot and add pumpkin and all veggies (organic is the best). Boil until tender (about 45 minutes ““ an hour).

Add pumpkin spice and vanilla and Stevia. Cool slightly and puree, reserving some broth for drinking. Holiday Carrot Soup- 4 qts. Veggie stock (homemade), 1 qt of water, 18 carrots-sliced, 1.5 bags of mixed greens ““coarsely chopped. 1.5 head of romaine lettuce ““ chopped, 2 large sweet potatoes ““ chopped after peeling, 2 tsp. ginger root ““ peeled and chopped, 4 tsp. of following mixture: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and Stevia (about three scoops, 1/8-1/4 tsp), 2 tsp vanilla extract. Bring all ingredients to a strong boil in a large pot. Reduce heat to a slow boil and simmer for 45 minutes. Separate solids and broth. Cool slightly and puree solids with a ¼ – a ½ cup broth.

Add vanilla extract after it is pureed. Look for healthy substitutes When you start your favorite recipes use healthy substitutes to replace toxic chemical laden ingredients that are fattening and bad for digestion. You can use Rice Dream or Almond Milk instead of whole milk products in some dishes. Try to use applesauce for thickening, coconut oil instead of margarine. Use No Salt products instead of table salt, use Stevia instead of sugar.

You can use Bragg’s amino acid instead of Soy Sauce or gravy. Don’t forget to make your own salad dressing. Avoid colorants, preservatives and chemicals in your food at all cost. Have Free Soup or free foods Eat quick and easy snacks to prevent over eating during the holidays. Have broth on the stove or in a crop pot. Free broth will allow you to eat whenever you are hungry and ensures you receive good minerals and hydration. Free broth or free foods are negative calorie foods. You will maintain your weight during the holidays if you drink or eat these foods instead of fattening or sugar foods.

A list of free or negative calorie foods are celery, lettuce, cabbage, cucumbers, carrots, spinach, onions, asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, apples, cranberries, raspberries, lemons and grapefruits. We have free soup and other great recipes in our New York Times Bestselling book “œ21 Pounds in 21 Days: The Martha’s Vineyard Diet Detox”. Try Hunger Quenching Vegetable Juice Drinking juice made from fresh vegetables is great ways to receive triple the amount of nutrition you would in a meal and quench that holiday thirst.

You are also able to fight off the cravings and hunger during the holidays. My favorite holiday juice is Carrots, beet greens, cucumbers, parsley, ginger and garlic. This juice helps with fluid retention and keeps the bloat down. Drink Green Drinks for extra energy Green drinks are derived from green vegetables and their ideal for the energy boost you’re looking for during the holidays. Green drinks are ideal for providing the body with more oxygen and nutrients which then results in even more energy.

Additionally, these drinks are great cleansers. I love the way I look after 10 days of cleansing with green drinks. It’s like a facelift with out surgery. Drink Fresh Berry Drinks for health There’s nothing better than fresh berries. These drinks have a similar action to that of green drinks. These drinks are full of antioxidants that fight off free radicals in the body as well as tasting great. There are a variety of different types of berries that you can enjoy during the holidays including raspberries, blueberries, pomegranates, grapes, blackberries, Gogi berries and cranberries.

Juicing these berries give you maximum nutrition and increase your immune functioning. Eat frequently to keep metabolism up The metabolism works better if you have five small mini meals or snacks through out the day. An example of mini meals for the holiday may look like this: 9:00 am cup of berries-11:00 am Green juice 1:00 pm holiday veggies 3: pm holiday desert 5:00 pm Holiday carb 7:00 pm protein and veggie 9:00 pm holiday drink-it works for me and many of my clients.

You will not gain weight plus you can enjoy the holiday. Make sure you take food enzymes with all your chewing meals. Food Combine correctly Protein with vegetables only, Carbohydrates with vegetables only, Fruit by itself (2 hours away from meals) Essential fatty acids absorbs better with protein. Give yourself a Cleansing enema Many people are amazed at how much better they feel after an enema, especially if they have never experienced one before and if they have a lot of toxic build up in their colon. Original here.

The real goal of  a safe healthy detox diet is teaching you to eat healthfully as a part of your own lifestyle, it is not meant to deprive you of whole-some, and nutritious foods that are vital to your overall health and well being.

Ruth asks…

My question is how do you unclog clogged arteries?

For over 3 months now I have had clogged arteries and its because i have been overeating, oversleeping, and not going out at all..
My kidneys have burst i believe, I am 30 pounds overweight, and food does not digest properly anymore.
What is the best way to unclog these arteries?

admin answers:

1) How do you know your arteries are clogged? Any tests? Ultrasounds, CT, angio?
2) Your kidneys haven’t burst. You’d be dead if they did.

Get an appointment with your family doctor. Make a list of your concerns & ask for help with them.

Good luck.

Lizzie asks…

Main organs in body – homework help?

Well basically do you think that maybe you could just quickly some up these organs in like a line i.e breaks up food, something short like that. thanks 10 points for best answers.

heart
stomach
small intestine
large intestine
kidneys
liver

thanks you

admin answers:

Heart-pumps blood round body
Stomach-digests food
Small intestine-nutrition gets absorbed into blood here and also does little digesting
Large intestine-digests food
Kidney-absorbs all the minerals from liquids, such as water, juice, etc. Its the one that produces urine, so once the nutrients are absorbed, the liquid is transformed into urine and the kidney releases bad chemicals that are in the body so that they can come out of your body with the urine it also produced. This is a bean-shaped organ that filters blood to form the waste liquid called urine.
OORRRR. It cleans ur body. (short summary!! :) . )
Liver-stores fuel for body and Helping to process fats and proteins from digested food.
Making proteins that are essential for blood to clot (clotting factors).
Processing many medicines which you may take.
Helping to remove or process alcohol, poisons and toxins from the body.
Making bile which passes from the liver to the gut and helps to digest fats.

or is the non force age 18 ?

admin answers:

That must hurt, but your being a good friend!
What you need to do now is ignore her feelings and get her help. I know its hard, but i promise she will benefit. Tell her the truth, your her best friend, so she must value your opinion.

Tell her she needs to start eating more and gaining weight, if she doesnt then you should find a rehab center and (with her moms help of course) send her to it. Im really sorry it comes down to this…

EDIT: her parents/legal guardians (im pretty sure) can force her to go to rehab if its what she really needs to.

Helen asks…

Can you proof read this please??

Kevyn Aucoin was a wonderful makeup artist who saw natural beauty in many and helped accentuate their features.
He was born on February 14, 1962 in Shreveport, Louisiana at a Catholic Charities Home for un-wed mothers.
His mother, Nelda Mae Sweat, was a scared pregnant sixteen-year-old with strict Baptist parents. His father, a handsome football player named Jerry Burch, didn’t believe that the baby was his.
He was only a month old when he was adopted by an Aucoins family name. Kevyn grew up in a small town, Lafayette, with three other adopted brothers and sisters. At the age of eleven, he began making up his little sister Carla into a disco diva. While Carla was his source of inspiration, Barbara Streisand was his subject for painting and sketching.
Kevyn realized he was gay at an early age. It was hard fitting in a small town like Lafayette. Kevyn instantly became a target for his classmates. He was tormented physically and verbally.
At the age of 16, he moved out with his friend Glenn. Since neither of them had a job, they relied on their parents for food and other necessities.
One night Kevyn and his friend Glenn met a drag queen. Kevyn became mesmerized by the power of makeup he had seen on this drag queen. Soon enough, Kevyn started inviting more drag queens over to his apartment to do their makeup. That September, Kevyn had to start junior high again. As soon as he began, the physical and verbal tormenting started again.
Kevyn received death threats at school and he was beaten with rocks. One time two teenagers even tried to run him over with a truck. Finally, he dropped out of high school at the age 15. After he dropped out from high school he thought he would definitely fit in beauty school. 1978-1981. Kevyn asked his father for $900 to cover the tuition but Kevyn soon discovered that it turned out to be a waste of time and money because he knew way more than the teachers when it came down to makeup and hair both combined. Soon, he found a job behind a cosmetics counter at a local department store.
Following Kevyn’s break up with his boyfriend Glenn, he moved to New York where he found work doing make-up for a porn magazine called Cheezy.
Within a year, Kevyn was hired to work with Meg Tilly on a Vogue shoot. It was a milestone for Kevyn because he started working with models such as Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, and celebrities including Tina Turner and Cher. Over the next couple of years, Kevyn did make-up for 18 covers of Vogue and 7 for Cosmopolitan.
During the 1990s, Kevyn refused to promote products for Vincent Longo and Laura Mercier because he was only going to receive 5% of the profits. Instead, Kevyn launched a new line of beauty products, the Kevyn Aucoin collection, which he was going to launch on his own web site–keyvnaucoin.com.
Kevyn’s make-up style truly defined the nineties. He brought out the beauty with classic touches. Kevyn had a unique vision that was completely transformational. He could completely “erase” someone’s features, and create a new face. He could glam up anyone, turn men into women, bring back faces from the past, and add shadow, texture, and features that were non-existent.
Kevyn’s advertising work for Ultima was the result of “Naked”, a line he helped to design and he also had been hired to revamp for Shiseido.
1994. Kevyn wrote three books: The Art of Make-up, Making Faces, and Face Forward.
1995-1998. In 1995 the Council of Fashion Designers gave him the only award that they had ever given a make-up artist.
In 1997, Making faces made it to number 1 on the New York Times best-seller-list.
In 2001, he played himself in the film The Intern, he also played the part of a make-up artist in the film The Zoolander, (2001). Later on in 2001, he played himself in two episodes of the t.v. show The Sex and the City.
October 2001, just a month before launching his own cosmetics line, Kevyn was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He died May 2002 due to kidney and liver failure

Paul asks…

Can 24 hour fasting help you grow taller?

I read in a magazine that 24 hour fasting increases the growth hormones.

admin answers:

Fasting enhances growth hormone secretion (check the link in the source), but I don’t know if it will make you grow taller. I don’t think so. But fasting in general is healthy and beneficial in many ways.

Mary asks…

The most that I have ever fasted is 24 hours. I am currently on a 48 hour fast. Does anyone have fasting tips?

Losing weight would be a bonus, but honestly it just feels good to not have to worry about food every now and then for just a short time. It also gets your mind set that you don’t need all the junk food that Americans eat and it gets me into the mindset to eat really healthy after I fast for a short time.

admin answers:

Yes why ? Is it for a detox..

Daniel asks…

I would like to start a fasting program once a month. Is it o.k. to do a 24 hour fast from 6p.m. to 6p.m. or?

should I fast one complete day. Can I drink coffee during the fast or is that cheating. This isn’t for religious purposes, I read that it can lower the chance of heart disease by 40%:)

admin answers:

It is healthy to do a 24 hour fast. The best thing to do would be to start in the AM, because then when you wake up the next day, you can eat breakfast right away. So i would do 6am to 6am. Make sure to drink a lot of water.

Drinking coffee is cheating on a fast if you add sugar and creme. But drinking it can be bad for you on an empty stomach, as it can give you the jitters and make you crash.

Mark asks…

24 hour fasting?

My in-laws (to-be) are Mormon, and recently my fiancé’s sister’s hubby was diagnosed with a staff infection. The doctors are saying that unless they’re able to do something soon, they may have to amputate his leg. My fiancé’s mom called early this morning asking for prayer and fasting. Because she knows I’m Pagan, she also requested that I do “whatever it is I do” to help. I’m very close with my in-laws, so I’m fasting for 24 hours along with them.

Although it is not something my religion entails, it’s not me I’m doing it for; it’s for my brother – and my sister, and their family. So I imagine that (in addition to some health spells) the least I can do is offer my best shot, and I know that they’ll appreciate it.

My question is, what does fasting have to do with anything? It seems illogical to me to deny one’s body necessary nourishment to help a loved one (in this manner, anyway). I’m doing well so far, but perhaps understanding its significance better would help.
Please, no negative comments. I’d just like someone to explain this practice in more detail for me. Thank you.

admin answers:

Yours is a great question. Fasting helps bring the individual spiritually closer to the God in Whom we believe. We fast on the first Sunday of each month, giving up at least two meals and the cost of them with our tithing.

Fasting, other than those suffering from diabetes or other health issues, is good for the body because toxins are removed physically while the mind grows spiritually closer to Deity.

Understanding your beliefs are different than mine (I am not a Mormon), perhaps you can offer more besides your fasting to help tune yourself with your Deity and offer words of comfort and concern for the afflicted.

The power of individual prayer is a powerful tool, done in faith, to our God. I know little of Paganism, but I believe in your belief that their exists a Higher Being of sorts. Using what you believe, and the love you hold for your future in-law, I feel confident that whatever you can offer will be important.

Thank you for your concerns and your priority question.

Donna asks…

24 hour fast and sponsored silence bad idea?

I’ve been asked if I’ll participate in a 24 hour fast and sponsored silence in public by wearing a locked gag. Having never worn one, can anyone comment if a) this is a stupid idea b) dangerous c) a bad idea in public. I don’t want to offend but if it’s more outrageous we’ll probably raise more money. Planning to wear tshirt to explain what’s going on too and carry a money bucket… (and any one know what short of gag would work best?)

admin answers:

It’s a great idea. A bright pink ball gag would be good. Or, wear a black ball gag with pink lipstick! Haha. Good luck fundraising. Remember to drink plenty before you start.

Linda asks…

Foods that will promote kidney health..?

What are some foods that promote kidney health? Some that reverse the possibility of kidney failure?

Best answer will be given.

admin answers:

Common sense should tell you to avoid processed foods, high saturated fats and to cut back on high-protein foods – our gut evolved to process seeds and berries. Our kidneys essentially filter out the toxins from the body, so simply try not to put too many into it in the first place.

One thing that we do know – drink plenty of liquid – preferably natural water (no additives!) to clear the kidneys out and let it do it’s job.

Steven asks…

What foods or natural remedies would anyone recommend for good kidney health?

admin answers:

You will find great help at this comprehensive program I did here

http://www.curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1224263#i

I would recommend Dr Schulze’s 5 day kidney cleanse (his herbs are at herbdoc.com)

http://www.curezone.com/schulze/herbal_5day_kidney_cleanse.asp

there are many foods, juices and herbs and other things listed in there

Off the top of my head add the mushrooms Agaricus bisporas extract and Cordyceps Mushroom – Premier Kidney and Lung Tonic mentioned in steps 3 and 4 (see that for why they are so good) , the coq10 (step 2) , the organic burdock root tincture, the organic parsley root tincture (steps 4 and 5) , the dandelion juice (step 10). Juices (step 11) , diaphoretic teas (step 15) the hot saunas and the “works like a modern day kidney dialysis machine” suggestion (step 19 and 20) and those important kidney foods (step 16) etc

Also email me and I can send you the link to his incurables manual and video where he discusses his cleanse and there are also two free online books on it there by master healer of the incurables Dr Richard Schulze –25 ways to the cleanest kidneys and another one he did (name escapes me just now)..these are free for the reading just email me and ask for the links to his incurables and his two kidney books but definitely look over that links I gave. It took me months to compile and write all that.

Also alternative herbs help the kidneys by cleaning the blood although some work better for different organs. See Dr Christopher’s book the school of natural healing for more info on various alternative herbs. I did go through this for my mom with kidney disease and felt the best was burdock root. This and parsley root helped her even when she had zero functioning in both kidneys (so much so that after 10 years of unsuccessfully trying, she finally decided to try what I know but unfortunately was killed by hospital while we were ordering the herbs.

Be sure your herbs or organic or wildcrafted (burdock is so plentiful you can harvest the root yourself and parsley root is sometimes sold at stores like meijer’s in the produce dept (but not organic)

and also in the form of tinctures. The average dose for tinctures is 60 drops (2 dropperfuils) 3=5 times a day. If much above or below 150 email me for the rule for dosing (called Clark’s rule also this is on curezone in Dr Schulze patient handbook in the table of contents under doing for children and animals)

Here is info I have been compiling yesterday on various types of herbs from gaines site etc

Alternative
Herbs which purify the blood. They are also called blood sweeteners. Most alteratives promote the cleaning action of the spleen, liver, kidneys, and bowels. Alterative herbs are generally used over a long period of time, to allow for gradual detoxification of the entire bloodstream which will, in turn, improve digestion, assimilation, and glandular secretions.

Apparently, some alterative herbs contain hormones or hormone-like substances that act like endocrine secretions. Others seem to improve the function of the endocrine glands, so that they better produce their own secretions. A list of Alterative herbs is available.

Alternative herbs

The following herbs have alternative properties.

Alfalfa
Barberry
Bayberry
Black Cohosh
Blessed Thistle
Burdock Root
Cayenne
Chaparral
Chickweed
Cleaver
Comfrey
Dandelion
Devil’s Claw
Echinacea
Elderberry
Elder Flower
Eyebright
Garlic
Ginseng
Goldenseal
Gotu Kola
Kelp
Licorice Root
Mandrake
Marshmallow
Nettles
Oregon Grape Root
Pipsissewa
Plantain
Poke Root
PricklyAsh
Raspberry
Red Clover
Rhubarb
Sarsaparilla
Sassafras
St. John’s Wort
Turkey Rhubarb
Uva Ursi
Wood Betony
Yellow Dock

Never take hard capsules as they are rarely absorbed also organic or wildcrafted herbs can be 7-10 times higher in the phytochemcials that cure and prevent disease.

But for the most help go to that link..it has tons of foods etc that help the kidneys and though it is a lot of info to wade through it i most complete and helpful and recommended as valuable by the site.

Again go here

http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1224263#i (info all the way to #36)==very long thread with a tons of info there is a section on there with foods for the kidneys also.

Richard asks…

What’s a good kidney formula (kidney health) cat food?

My cat’s amylase levels were high in a blood test where everything else checks out all right. He’s about 13 or 14 (he was adopted almost 7 years ago) and the vet gave him some Purina NF cat food to try. It’s supposed to be for promoting kidney health, but the ingredients make me wonder. Is there something better? More natural? Less questionable?
High amylase levels may be an indication that kitty is showing early signs of CRF.

From this site and according to my vet: Some vets feel that slightly elevated Amylase levels can sometimes be a pre-cursor to CRF before other symptoms occur.

Another site for those who are confused by my question.

Here is a link that you can use to find foods for you cat. I would look second at the ingredients too, but since CRF cats need lower protein diets, you’re going to be looking at a food with a lot of fillers :(

I hope it helps you, and I hope your kitty feels better.

Helen asks…

What causes recurring kidney infections?

I never got kidney infections when I was younger but now in my late forties, I get them once or twice a year. I drink a lot of water and virtually no carbonated drinks. They are very painful and I’m wondering what I could do to prevent them. I hate cranberry juice so I need to buy some in pill form at the health food store. Wondered what other suggestions people had :-)
BTW, I’ve seen my doctor and gotten meds. Just wondering how to prevent them in the future.

admin answers:

Usually recurring kidney infections are caused by UTI’s, urinary tract infections. Go see a dr about it

Does anyone know a home remedy to dissolve kidney stones?

I am looking for a home remedy that will dissolve kidney stones safely. The ingredients should be inexpensive and easy to find at a local market or health food store. Please send any instructions as to how to prepare the remedy as well. Thank you in advance.
Thank you everyone for your answers, plus thank you Mikki for the web address. I found a lot of good info.

The most Common symptoms of having kidney stones are a dull pain in your lower back  and groin, and increasing to a sharp severe pain as the stone(s) enter the urethra canal. Nausea and vomiting often accompanies the pain.

There are so many advantages to performing a regular detoxification. Maybe one of the most fascinating is that you’re skin will be fit, you will feel better too by ridding your body of the surplus wastes that  you’re lugging around. You can really boost your skin tone and get rid of the damaging chemicals with a cleanse.

Your skin is healthier after a healthy detox cleanse

There is an incorporated system in your body that is made to perform these cleanses easily, but we now have so many chemicals and garbage in our food and air, it needs some help.

You might wonder how your body can get harmful toxins, or why you’d need a detoxification cleanse. It is very simple when you think about all the damaging elements and chemicals that are present in your food and even in the air that we breathe.

Get rid of damaging chemicals with a healthy detox cleanse

Since this is the case it makes it virtually impossible for your body to keep your body cleansed without some form of programme or product to help. So that you can find a selection of different products that are focused at differing types of cleanses, or get some tips from my cleansing blog here for natural cleansing and detox, and cleansing foods. In order find the best detoxification for yourself you will need to know about the differing kinds of cleanses and how they may benefit you.

When you have finished the cleanse you will feel better than you did before and your body will show that you’re more fit thru your skin. You can make a choice from a kidney detoxification, colon detoxification, lung detoxification, liver cleanse and skin detoxification.

You will feel worse before you feel better with a healthy detox cleanse

Dependent on the kind of detoxification that you select your diet will be different and will reflect the varied health info. Some detoxes will need you to buy special additions. Remember that initially in a detoxification cleanse you’ll feel worse and begin to get ill, it’s only after all these chemicals are out of your body that you’re going to feel a little better.

Michael asks…

Question about parasite cleanse side effects?

I have been taking para cleanse and was wondering if a horrible headache was a side effect from the herbs or something else. I stopped taking it for a couple of days and my headaches stopped. But when I took it, I had HORRIBLE headaches all day that radiated down into my jaw and my neck.

admin answers:

Yes. Doing a cleansing regimen can cause one to have horrible headaches. This is usually a sign of a really good liver/gall bladder discharge going on. I suspect this is because there is a lot of dandelion, burdock, red root, yellow dock, bentonite (French clay), milk thistle in the products you’re using.

You can expect these results if you do a lot of alcohol, drugs, sugar, caffeine or eat a diet high in fat. The only way out is through the process, so from my perspective, you really did get exactly what you needed, it just didn’t feel good. Nobody ever said it would. For many, many people, cleansing is a form of making themselves sick. It’s creating a healing crisis so that you can come out on the other side, having dumped the sh*t within (quite literally), and come out with renewed health and vigor.

To expect to cleanse your body without going through any hassle or pain is basically a ridiculous expectation, so don’t expect that. Many people get diarrhea, cramping, excessive urination, fevers, rashes, weird emotional symptoms, discharges, crying fits, anger attacks, hysterical fits. It’s all grist for the mill. Better out than in, I say. But definitely block out some down time if you’re going to do fasting, juicing and cleansing. Don’t think “Over the weekend and then back to my regular work week!” is going to do it fer ya. You’d then be kidding yourself.

A good idea is to change your diet, eat LOTS more veggies, greens and salads (2x/day), and try juicing or juice fasting. This will cause you to discharge, but discharge at a much slower, more manageable rate (*Usually. As with all things on these boards, I guarantee you nothing, not knowing who you are, what condition you’re in or how you live your life.)

Getting rid of parasite?

I was thinking of doing a cleanse, taking a suppliment, has anyone taken a suppliment to get rid of parasites for kids? any parasite cleanse side effects?
Thank you to you all, your all excellent answers!!

admin answers:

You or your kids need to see a doctor!. Parasites can get dangerous very, very quickly. However there are some natural treatments for certain types of less dangerous parasites such as intestinal parasites. Some natural herbs that create a hostile environment for intestinal parasites are Savory, and Pumpkin seeds.

Savory can be made into a tea or an essential oil and works together well with Pumpkin seed oily extract. Pumpkin seed oil can be used to get rid of intestinal parasites without any side effects at all; there is no restriction of administration for children or women. Though it should be taken for at least a fortnight, results are almost immediate.

One or two hours after taking the pumpkin seed oil, take some castor oil or a laxative to increase bowel movement and start eliminating the parasites. The active substances have a paralyzing effect on the worms, they are not actually killed; therefore, it is good to follow the pumpkin seed oil with some powerful laxatives. You can mash 400 grams of pumpkin seeds and mix them with milk and honey until the composition reaches a puree consistency. Have it on empty stomach in the morning and follow it with castor oil a couple of hours later.

Or pick up a bottle of natural cayenne at your supercenter, (about $4.00 a bottle) I take 3 capsules 3 times a day, it does much more than rid you of parasites. Check out the other things cayenne does for you from my alternative medicines website: http://bit.ly/pEQTDr

Thomas asks…

is it really dangerous to take medicine not studied by the FDA?

i bought a product from humaworm… its a parasite cleanse actually… below is something written like this: “2007 Humaworm, Inc. DISCLAIMER: These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. ” so,,, do you think it is dangerous to take the medicine? my mom is making such a big deal out of it…she’s so worried it might be harmful. how rational is she about it? btw,, many people are recommending it online…they said it is successful though there are some side effects like headache…what do you think?

admin answers:

Its likely just as dangerous as taking a medication that is FDA approved. Every medication you take has risks and benefits – you need to be sure that the benefits from the medications outweigh the risks.

For example, medications used in chemotherapy are very toxic and dangerous – however, they kill the cancer cells as well, and thus the side effects of hair loss, energy loss, anemia and low white blood cell counts are tolerated for that end.

A medication used in stroke patients, tPA, which is the “clot busting” medication has the risk of causing bleeding in the brain which would likely cause death. Is this safer than some herbal medication you get at GNC – obviously not – but the potential benefit of the medication is restoring movement after being paralyzed by a stroke may outweigh the risks in the right patient.

The problem with medications not approved by the FDA, such as herbal supplements and nutritional supplements, is that they are not required to be regulated by the FDA. Consequently there is not as stringent a quality control as medications regulated by the FDA. There may be other impurities or fillers that have other unwanted side effects than the medication intended. Additionally, the amounts of the active ingredient may not be standardized – thus one dose may be more potent than another dose.

Also realize that just because a medication is approved by the FDA, don’t think that it necessarily will remain that way and be safe. For example, take a look at Vioxx from the drug company Merck. It was safe enough to be approved by the FDA. However, once people in the general population took it for a longer period of time than in the test groups in the studies, it showed that there was a potential increased risk of heart attacks (whether this is the most conclusive study, I’m still not sure). Now Vioxx has been taken off the market.

So weigh the risks and benefits yourself as an educated consumer – are the potential side effects work the risk for the intended effect of the medication? And why are you taking a parasite cleanser anyway? Do you even know you have parasites? And if you do, you need to see a physician to get the proper testing and the proper prescription medication to take care of the parasite. Why would you listen to people who are not professionals recommending it?

John asks…

How much weight will I lose in a week if I do this?

I read that if you put cinnamon in boiled water and let sit for 30 min. then put honey in it then drink half of it before bed, put in the refrigerator and drink the rest in the morning, these things will happen:
1. Inches will be lost before you will notice the scale creeping downward.
2. The cinnamon and honey cleanses parasites, fungus and bacteria out of the digestive tract.
3. You may experience side effects due to the release of toxicity.
4. You may experience increased energy, and a better mood.
5. The formula will block your body from gaining fat.
Are these things true, Has any one of you tried this? Or is it all a lie? How much estimated weight do you think I will lose in a week if I do this everyday..? I also exercise daily. I use a machine, and I jog and dance.

Your answers are of much gratitude, Thank youu <33

I was diagnosed with Gall Stones & Kidney Stones. Are there any holistic ways to help combat these?

I already know about a low fat diet, low dairy, etc, exercise and such. I’m waiting to see my doctor after a stint at the E.R. with these lovely stones. Anyone out there know of any natural or holistic remedies for these problems? A flush/cleanse, supplement, diet, herb, anything?
Thanks

Chanca Piedra is an amazon herb known as “stone breaker” and used successfully for years to break up and clear both gallstones and kidney stones.

Daniel asks…

With the Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet, can you drink the lemonade cold, or only hot?

The Diet
consists of fasting to rid the body of toxins,
created by improper diet, lack of exercise and
negative mental attitudes. The purpose of the
Lemonade Diet is to dissolve and eliminate toxins
and congestion; to cleanse the kidneys and
digestive system; to purify glands; to eliminate
waste and hardened materials in the joints and
muscles; to build a healthy bloodstream; to
maintain optimal blood pressure; and to what
you all are waiting to hear… to lose weight.

admin answers:

It can be either but warm to hot is recommended because cold water can slow down the process.

William asks…

Have anyone heard of the Master Cleanse or Lemonade diet?

Some co-work at my job are on it. I think it a joke. They are drinking this stuff and eating too. I don’t understand I thought you are not suppose to eat. One co-work was so nervous and jittery on Thursday, Friday she stayed home. Also, I feel they are drinking too much water, one gallon a day. I hope no one drown their kidneys.

admin answers:

James asks…

I have a kidney infection and the weight loss is scaring me…help?

I have always had problems with my kidney due to a bad diet and genes ( my mother has similar problems). I recently went to the doctor who suggested I drink lots of water and cranberry juice to flush and cleanse the kidney.

I have been and now have had a bit of a weight loss. I am beginning to get scared as my diet hasn’t changed. I asked my doctor about this and he said it is normal to lose or gain a little weight ( he thinks I am a hypochondriac). I have never had a weight problem and now I am beginning to get funny and grossed out looks from people at my work.

My supervisor even approached me and asked if I needed to leave today. If anyone has experience that is similar can you help? I am afraid it could be serious, but I have been to the doctor multiple times in the past four months and nothing negative like cancer or possible kidney transplant has been the problem.

All I am told is that I drink too much caffeine and need to stop ( I have), what is worse is I am losing weight, but my back still hurts at times.
I have been tested for diabetes, several times and do not have it. My skin isn’t bad, and I have been to a doctor several times.
Yandel I think you may be on to something. I have been eating a lot of fruits and drinking cranberry juice like crazy. I don’t want to lose weight, I am already thin, now thinner and kind of disgusting. I also am worried I may have diabetes, just found out an aunt of mine was misdiagnosed several years ago and DOES have diabetes. Need to head to the doc. Thanks for all the info!

Steven asks…

Really bad pain randomly occurs in right kidney ?

Ok so I’m 16 years old.. 5’9, 84 kilos, I don’t drink or smoke, I’ve been on a healthy diet for months now so I’m sure it isn’t cause of eating bad.
I once did a lemon detox cleanse to remove toxins ??
I can’t go toilet properly now and then .. I was told I had inflammed bowel movement by my doctor ..
I’m taking weight loss pills ATM, but it’s not cause of them cause this pain happened a couple of times before I started taking them.
I’ve been on crash diets, and other crazy diets too ..

So twice or so every week I get this horrible pain in my right kidney.
It’s usually after I finish showering on a hot day,
Or when I leave the air conditioner on overnight while I’m asleep.

This pain is so horrible !! It really hurts, it goes on for about 5-10
Minutes and I have to hold my breath and tense my body for as much as possible cause it stops the pain..
it just hurts more and more everytime it occurs … Idk what it could be?!
Kidney stones ?? Kidney failure?? Idk . But I’m scared if it is :/
I’m going doctors soon cause the pain has gotten 10x worse and I can’t handle it anymore, so ye I just wanted a few opinions before stopping by at the docs.

Thx

admin answers:

Sounds like pinched muscles in your back in the area of your kidneys, rather than the kidneys themselves for a couple of reasons. Pinched muscles are pinched by the spine so when the pain starts and you hold your body still you are not moving the spine to pinch the muscles more so the pain will ease up.

If you sleep with the ac on and you wake up in pain it’s because your back muscles tightened up preserving heat in your body and that is what would cause the muscles to go into pain then. To get rid of the pains you have to free up your back muscles and here’s how to do that:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do.

When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
